Gone to gloom, the Kokosing River: I loved it!

For years I had wondered what this 'Kokosing River' looked like, which I had only ever seen represented as a squiggly line on a map.

The Great Seal of the State of Ohio should be redesigned to depict an old field in the process of returning to woods.

Even among November gloom, sluggish creekwaters attractively reflect the bare trees of the woodland through which they slowly flow.

Soothing to look at, in their calm, were these Kokosing River creekwaters.

November daylight brought views of tangled messes of brown grasses and shrubby plants to the people who were in Morrow County, Ohio, that day, including me.
