That's county road 160 way down there

It seems to be nothing but wilderness

After that steep climb we arrived at the park's visitor's center & we rewarded with a spectacular view

Milky Way Over Cumberland, Kentucky

The Cumberland Plateau

The topographical maps I looked at this area said this is Black Mountain

I wish I had a UV filter on the lens

Looking up the valley

I got as close to the edge as I could to get this one

The trees were starting to turn

I can imagine how beautiful these trees were in the last couple of weeks with all the autumn colors

A closer view

Pretty valley

Teresa & Donna enjoying the view

We had had enough of primitive roads by this time

A map of the park

The Black Bears are getting into areas they haven't been in a long time

Some more road traumatization occurred on our way to this overlook

I was surprised to see a bear in the visitors center
