Tolowa Dunes State Park

Path through a remnant of old growth coast redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens), Humboldt County, northern California, home to the world's tallest tree, 379.1 feet (115.5 meters).

Coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), the base of which has been swept by fire. Very thick bark provides protection.
